Honoring Oromo Elders. Preserving Legacy. Inspiring Generations.
About us
Our Story
Yuboota was founded with a simple but powerful purpose: to say thank you.
For generations, Oromo elders have contributed through education, leadership, cultural preservation, and community service. Many of these contributions go unrecognized. Yuboota exists to change that.
For the past three years, the organization has selected and honored individuals annually—celebrating their impact and documenting their legacy for future generations.
This historic moment marks the first Yuboota recognition ceremony held in 2023 to honor Oromo elders and community leaders whose lifelong dedication, sacrifice, and service contributed to the growth and strength of the Oromo nation. The event celebrated individuals who made lasting impacts through education, leadership, cultural preservation, and community service, while bringing together generations in a spirit of gratitude, respect, and unity.
